We are a bunch of rowers, who row out of the Sacred Heart University Women's Rowing Boathouse, as a fund raising activity benefitting the Sacred Heart University Women's rowing program. Most of us are "Masters" class rowers, which just means that we're older (27 & up), although not neccessarily better. If you're a rower, or even if you're not a rower, and you're interested in rowing with us come check us out at the Beacon Point Marina in Shelton... We welcome rowers of all genders, ages, and persuasions. ...need directions?
Come see us next spring, when we'll have even more new boats in the house, and be seeking (as always) even more bodies to row them. Come. Experience our scintillating ambiance. Join us in an unforgettable experience, as we row along the beautiful Housatonic River.
During our Season, we assemble to row regularly on
in addition to whatever ad hoc rows we can squeeze out of our busy schedules.
If you have questions you can e-mail [John], [Cis], or [I], although I believe the missive below says it all..
Good Morning Oarslings,
It takes a special kind of crazy to get up at 4:00 in the morning to go for a row, but if we didn't we wouldn't be able to tell people we get up at 4:00 in the morning to go rowing.
If we didn't do it, people wouldn't look at us like we're a special kind of crazy, and secretly wish they were a little crazy, too.
They wouldn't wonder what we have that they don't they wouldn't admire our fortitude and our strong, healthy bodies they wouldn't brag that they know a friend who gets up at 4:00 in the morning to go rowing.
We have to do it, because we're all just a little crazy, and that's a good thing.
See you in the very first light of day.
John
